Does anyone know a japanese-english dictionary (and vice versa) for the computer that doesn´t require internet?
I suggest getting an actually dictionary instead of a program or software. That way, you know how to find words on a dictionary in both english and japanese, and you will have a better knowledge of the order of the japanese alphabet. The dictionary also gives you the number of writings for each Kanji, which is also another way to look for a word, especially if you don’t know how that certain character it is read in japanese. Plus, you don’t want to flip pages so many times, so you actually start to remember the terms and their kanjis. If you live in LA, there’s a place called “Kinokuniya” which is a Japanese bookstore. They can help you get the dictionary you need. There’s also a bookstore called “Book Off” which is a bookstore, but all items were sold to the store by previous owners, meaning it’s used and cheaper.
