Does anyone know a good program for converting rar files to mp3?
That doesn’t make sense. A RAR file is a compression data file type. An Mp3 is a compressed audio file type. While they are both compressed, you cannot convert the two. If your mp3s ar truly in RAR format, then you should use a program like WinRar and extract the files. If you explain how your mp3s became rar files, then we can probably better help you.
No, that would be like “converting” a suitcase into the shirt that’s inside it. The mp3 file is inside the rar file, you have to extract it. 1) 7-zip. http://www.7-zip.org/ (WinRAR isn’t free, it’s a free TRIAL. If you don’t plan on buying it, downloading it is dishonest. 7-zip is free, and it’s faster.) 2a) Virtual memory has nothing to do with how much you download – it’s being used because you don’t have enough RAM – to RUN programs. (downloading is storing, not running.) 2b) If you don’t download it you can’t run it. If you don’t run it, you can’t do what it does – in this case, extract the mp3 from the rar envelope. Windows handles zip files natively, but you have to download (and install) a program to handle rar files.
