Does anyone here own a swamp cooler (evaporative cooler)?”
Growing up in New Mexico, my parents had swamp coolers. They work pretty well as far as cooling down the house, but the problem is that you need to go up on the roof and set them up at the begining of the summer and shut them down at the end, which is not difficult except for the getting on the roof part. Now that my parents are getting older however, they are thinking about moving to AC in order to not have to do this every year.
