Be creative and flexible, organized but not rigid. It does not take a lot of money to live well or graciously. Your home should reflect who the people are living in it, where they have been, what they love and who they are. Reuse or recylcle anything and everything you can. What looks like an ordinary, everyday item can be reinvented into something beautiful. Routine helps keep things running smoothly, but make certain that it doesn’t become so written in stone that you cannot be spontaneous enough to break it for some fun. Be open minded enough to realize that as long as a job or chore gets done, it doesn’t always matter the method or techniques used to do it. The kitchen is the heart of the home and is one of the best places to find out what is really happening in the lives of those in your family. Cooking is NOT a solitary activity, it is always more fun with others participating. Practice the art of living well and you will live well.
