Does anyone have the Blue Peter recipe for a Cold Tea Cake?
This recipe was given out over the TV on the Blue Peter Show (I think it was when John and Valerie were still on the show) and involved soaking sultanas in cold tea overnight, in the fridge, and then using the cold tea and the sultanas in making a cake which you would bake in the oven in a loaf tin. I’ve lost the recipe after 20 years and can’t remember the details. If anyone has this Blue Peter recipe can they please post it on line. There are some on the internet, but not as I remember. The Blue Peter recipe was fool proof and was great for an afternoon tea with butter spread on it and great to get kids starting to cook in the kitchen. Yum!
