Yep, I’ve had spasmodic dysphonia since I was 17. I’ve received quite a few Botox injections in the throat to treat it. Luckily for me, the injections have left scar tissue in my throat which interferes with the spasmodic dysphonia! So as a result, my voice isn’t as bad as it was before I began the injections. The injections themselves are temporary, though. Having SD SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! It bites to have something meaningful to say and no one can hear your message because they’re so distracted by your voice.
