Does anyone have recipes that use jellied or whole cranberry sauce?
This is a great recipe that always gets eaten at holiday turkey dinners whereas most salads (no matter how special) are often left in the serving dish. With all the crisp and bright flavors it’s a nice balance. Cranberry Salad 2 cups water 1 3oz pkg raspberry gelatin and 1 pkg orange gelatin 2 16 oz cans whole cranberry sauce 1 8 oz can crushed pineapple 1 1/4 cup chopped crisp apples 1 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 cup finely chopped celery 1 Tablespoon finely shredded orange peel Thin orange peel curls and orange slices Bring water to boil. dissolve gelatin and stir in cranberry sauce and undrained pineapple Cook and stir over low heat till sauce is dissolved Chill 35 to 49 minutes or till partially set Stir in apples, walnuts, celery and orange peel pour into a 10 inch fluted tube pan Chill till firm Garnish with orange slices and orange peel curls This was in a Yahoo answer a couple of months ago and it sounds good.
