Does anyone have piercing stories?

Well, self-piercing is never safe unless you are a licensed professional and you’re piercing yourself at a piercing studio. I have self-pierced several times, earlobes as well, and thankfully none have gotten an infection. I have pierced my eyebrow, lip and navel– i did both my eyebrow and lip the first time without gloves, an autoclave and i stupidly used a sewing needle to pierce. I regret this now as i’ve learned all the risks of infection and what could have happened to me if there was cross contamination. I highly suggest you don’t self-pierce ever, unless you’re licensed to pierce and you’re in a piercing studio. Piercing studios tend to be VERY clean that it would be very hard to get cross contamination, whereas your bathroom/house/where ever, would not be nearly as clean and you’re risking bad infections. Though some of my self-pierced piercings have succeeded (i now use clamps, hollow needles, wear gloves, and so on) i researched everything i could and tried to be the safest
