Does anyone have experience setting up onsite writing assessments for job candidates?
I designed a writing “benchmark” that my former employer is still using when screening for software product designers. The point of the exercise was to determine that the candidate could structure an argument and make a case (using words and illustrations). It was not however presented when a candidate was interviewing, we provided it prior to determining if we wanted to interview a candidate. It was provided as a Word file and we expected a 3 to 6 page Word document in return. Typically we provided several days to complete. Grammar and spelling were considered.
