Does anyone have experience buying a certificate from this ebay user?
You dont need a “restriction certificate” No where does the law state what method of proof is required, a dyno printout is just as admissable as proof as any FI certificate, FI International have the market cornered and blindsided with new riders such as yourself believing you need a certificate. I have been stopped by police on a unrestricted bike during my 2 years, they handed me a producer with “33bhp Certificate Proof” written on, i took a letter from a “mechanic” to the police station stating i had restrictors fitted on xx/xx/xxx and that was fine, the law is poorly thought out, i advise you against paying 30 quid to some joker on ebay for what will probably be a printout. No insurance company ever asked me for proof of restriction either, they may try and get trickty and demand a certificate of restriction, just ask them where in law it states you need one…
