Does anyone have examples of successful outreach efforts among teenage girls in Uganda or South Africa?
See links below for info on how outreach is being done via SMS on cell phones in South Africa. Cell phones are becoming the focus of nonprofit/NGO outreach in many parts of Africa because they are more prevalent than computers. In case you’re unfamiliar with international work, when you do research online substitute “NGO” or “non-governmental organization” for “nonprofit” and “mobile” for “cell” to get better results. Might be worth checking UNICEF and UNIFEM’s sites too.
