MG TC, model DKY4A DA34 set up as Lucas no.40048D MG PA, model DK4~0 BN112 set up as Lucas no. 405610A Frustration!! I have access to an analyser to test the distributors, but no idea what their specs should be. Some time ago I was given a Lucas chart, represented to be for the P-type distibutor, which shows limits of 2-4deg. advance at 600 DISTRIBUTOR rpm, and 13-15 deg. at 1950 rpm, linear in between. Further to earlier response, have just found a Lucas “Test Data Manual” which gives the following information on Lucas Distributor, DKY4A Lucas Service Number 40048D (Actually my book says 40048A but I think that for these purposes will be same) – The one for MG TC Clockwise Rotation Run up to 2600 RPM Advance to be 14 to 16 degrees Intermediate Advance: 1. 2000 RPM Advance to be 13 to 15 degrees 2. 500 RPM Advance to be 1.5 to 3.5 degrees No advance below 200 RPM I am sorry that I cannot find any details on the Distributor for the PA MG but will keep looking. I sort of kinda feel that
