Generally, carpal tunnel would not cause you to have trouble bending your fingers. But I have read that some people feel like their fingers are swollen (this doesn’t happen to me, but it is possible.) I don’t think you would have pain when bending your fingers — that kind of pain would indicate that there are problems with the joints in your fingers, not the nerve in your wrist, which is what causes carpal tunnel.
