Does anyone have Bantam chickens and how to cats respond to them?

We have lots of chickens, one that is bantam size, they all free range. When I was a kid we did have bantams and they free ranged. Both times we had indoor/outdoor cats and dogs. When the chickens (bantam and standard) are little cats will be interested, depending on the cat will at least attempt to enjoy a snack. Once the birds are grown they should be safe from your cats. Bantams are light, fast, and generally protective. As adults they can get away by running or flying (more so than most standard breeds). Right now I have 4 cats, 2 dogs and six hens with chicks (including the little bantam size) with chicks…30 chicks. I have watched the hens chase off both the cats and the dogs. When keeps chickens you have to understand that wild predators may take some or all of them. This can happen whether you free range them or not, but it’s more likely with free range.
