Does anyone have any tips for the WJEC english language GCSE exam?

I’m doing WJEC exams, but I don’t have to do the English one yet as I’m in Year 10. I advise you to go to the WJEC website and do as many practice papers as you can, even though it’s annoying and can take a long time. You’ll get more used to the answering format and what to look out for. I’ve forgotten what exactly is in this paper. For where you have to analyze text, look to see if there are any similes, alliteration and other stuff like that and make sure you include them in your answer. Try and give your personal opinion a bit if it’s an essay because it gives depth to your answers. If you have to write a short story, try to think of as many story ideas as you can beforehand. Chances are, one of them will fit one of the titles and you’ll save lots of time. Try to use lots of literary techniques like metaphors, comparisons and such and use exclamation marks, commas and semicolons. Good luck!
