Does anyone have any tips for final renders?
When I am ready for a final render I always set final quality render settings, render to TGA sequence with a frame step of 2. Rendering takes half the time (of course), then I assemble the tga sequence and play it back at half speed. (animate on 2s, anyone?) If i like the timing feel and do not find anything that needs changing, I go and render the other half number of frames, and then assemble them all together. This way, my first “render” takes half the time, so if I decide to throw it away, then I have lost only half the time, but if I decide to keep it, half of it is ready already! 🙂 This has been a time-saver more than once …
