Does anyone have any input on preschool prepackaged curriculum?
Yes. Avoid them like the plague. Good curriculum focuses on the things the children are interested in at the time, and weaves the academic piece into every aspect of the curriculum rather than teaching academics on their own. Every packaged curriculum I’ve seen features “cookie cutter” art activities and imposed topics. For an alternate take a look at the Creative Curriculum approach. The materials are available from many educational supply companies, particularly gryphon House and Red Leaf Press.
