There are many programs available, some based on what you make, some on where you will buy, some on what you do for a living, etc. They are not all grants, many are special loan programs. In addition, currently, there is still the option of buying no money down through a combination of FHA loan and seller funded down payment assistance. This program disappears for anyone that does not have a fully approved loan (including a ratified contract on a property) by 9-30.
