Does anyone have any information about Coco Chanel?
her wikipedia page is good as are her films – Coco before Chanel, Coco and Ivor and i think there are one or two more (again wiki will confirm!) I done a little article on her for work when i was writing about Fashion Icons: “After being orphaned at 12, Coco worked hard to move away from her poor background and make something of herself. First trying to make it as a signer, Coco turned to designing clothes, using her modernist philosophy, menswear-inspired fashions, and pursuit of expensive simplicity Founder of the famous fashion brand Chanel, her extraordinary influence on fashion was such that she was the only person in the couturier field to be named on Time 100: The most important people of the century, showing that she had become a fashion force to be reckoned with, whilst becoming an great icon herself.” As i said above, Coco was orphaned but that was something she kept a secret so it didnt hold her back in her career.
