Answer Hi, When my 4 year old autistic son went through a biting phase I overexaggerated how much it hurt me when he bit and I also pushed him away when he came at me with his mouth open looking like he was going to bite me and firmly said “NO! NO BITING!” It took some time but eventually he stopped. His teacher at school also implemented putting him in a “timeout chair” away from other kids when he bit them and she said that seemed to have an impact on him because he will come in the room each day and point at the chair and say “no timeout for Jason today”. I hope that helps you and if I can be of further assistance please don’t hesitate to ask me another question.
