Does anyone have any ideas for making preschool class books?
I did this with a group of 3-5 year olds. We made about a book a month. I always gave each child a sheet of manilla paper to make their page so that the books would be uniform, and punched holes after laminating and bound them with book rings. Sometimes the book was something like ‘make a picture of what you did over the weekend’ or we made a picture after reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Did You See? and they each drew an animal on their page to show what they saw. Or draw a picture of your favorite season, etc. etc. Then at the end of the year, I snapped open the book rings, and put each child’s pages from all the books into their own book, and let them draw the cover. I wrote the title on their book, by ‘child’s name’ and had the cover laminated, and sent each kid home with a book full of their own drawings from the year. The kids LOVED doing them, and loved having their own to take home.
