for my sisters hen night we started at lunch time with a nice boozy meal in a local restaurant (this was good for all the aunties, grandmas, and people that didn’t want to do the full night out or was skint) after the meal we had a few bottles in my local then a group of us went back to mine, got the hen dressesd up and met a load more of the girls in town (all the girls that wanted to come out but couldn’t afford or make the full day). went clubbing and then about 6 of the girls stopped at mine so we spent the night chatting and listening to cheesy music. a couple of hours sleep all finished off with a huge fry-up and mugs of tea. by spreading it over a day with lots of different things ie. meal or pub or town or clubbing. people can join in as and when they want and do what they can afford and still be part of the fun.

We had the same problems with my hen do including me!! We all went to Center Parcs for a weekend and hired out 2 villas and shared out the cost between about 10 of us, we worked who was bring what and who drove to keep the cost down. We did have a problem with booking as they didn’t like same sex parties but we got round that by providing the names, ages and occupations of all of us, which was strange as we could have lied!! Anyway we all had a great time horse riding, swiming, bike riding and had a day at the spa on site. The only problem was once we had done everythinig we were all to knackered to party hard!!

I recently spent a morning quad biking for a hen night. Absolutely fantastic time – it bonds everybody and makes them laugh. Prices were from about £20-40 depending on what you wanted to do. I had SO much fun!

I went on my hen night last year and my maid of honour planned it which was excellent. We went to a jongulars comedy club, you pay a set price in advance, (which is discounted with large parties) it includes a meal as well as comedy entertainment and once the comedians have finished it turns into a nightclub. So basically have some food, have a drink or several! a dance and then home. My mother even enjoyed.

Hey, stressful time I have just helped organise a hen party for my friend and we had the same hurdles, people with children and differing budgets! we have decided to hold a garden party, our theme is kiddies party, but with punch!! we have asked all guests to contribute a fiver and with that have made up party bags (princess bags with sweets, a badge, pens etc and a vodka shot!) and are putting on sandwiches, pizza bites and ice cream and jelly. we are also making a punch but are encouraging everyone to bring a bottle too. We’ve also planned party games, with forfeits including shotting alcohol! Then we gave those who wanted to the option of a night out in a nearby town and those who don’t want to can go home. It also means that older relatives, mums grannies etc can come along for a while in the afternoon so is a winner for all! We kept away from the dressing up idea as you don’t want people to feel like awkward and decide not to go, but that was our opinion. If you know your group we
