Does anyone have any horror stories from outdoor weddings?

Yes – an August wedding in the South…In a nut shell: unbearable heat, ants on the chairs, bees all over, and pesticides sprayed all on the chairs (but obviously it didn’t help). However, outdoor weddings can be beautiful when well-planned. I am having my wedding outside this fall (so it will be cooler) and will be taking care of the insect problem in the weeks leading up to the wedding day.

Weather is a hit or miss factor to outdoor weddings. Don’t think of it as ruining the day though. Just make sure you have a back up and “what-if” plans in case something does happen. Always be prepared for the worst case scenario, but live that day like the fairytale you imagined!
