Does anyone have any experience with a child with tics and nervous habits?
My daughter is 9 years old. Since she was 6 she has displayed different facial tics. She blinks her eyes, scrunches her nose, and does this chin/ neck thing. Her doctor thinks she will most likely grow out of it. She does not have ADHD or ADD which I understand is common with Tourette’s. I am just not sure if she has tics or Tourette’s. Also, my nephew who is seven just started displaying the same tics as her. We have no other family history of tics. I would like to know if anyone has experienced something similar with children or themselves. I would really like to help my daughter. No one at school has noticed yet, but she is very sensitve and I am afraid that they will.
