Does anyone have any experience or advice regarding placing work with a contractor through oDesk?
We have a few general coding requirements that we don’t have the in-house skills for. I’ve had a look at oDesk and I’m tempted to find a contractor using that site for one of the smaller tasks and see how it goes. The tasks are some VB scripting to help with client software installation and then a more general CMS/Website coding task. I like the idea of keeping the project private and only inviting candidates that we like the look of, using a candidates feedback and rating as a guide. I don’t want to expose us to endless canvassing! I’m looking for any advice specific to using oDesk and and examples of any good/bad experiences people may have had either placing work or providing services through oDesk.
