Does anyone have any advice on protecting White Cats?
I had a white cat for 16 years and she never had any skin problems. Mind you she had a long coat and didn’t enjoy being in the sun unless it was a cool day. She got hot easily and went into the shade. She was a little houdini escape artist who hated being locked inside so I let her outside throughout her life to sleep in bushes etc in the day because she totally loved it. If you do get some SPF cream for your cat you will have to be careful as we all know that your cat will try to lick it off and you don’t want to poison him/her. When I worked in a healthfood shop we sold organic SPF cream that may have been okay but honestly I would ask the vet to be sure. White cats are so beautiful.
