Does anyone have a recipe for Potato Gratin?

For about 4 people as a side dish: Cut about 5 large potatoes in to thin slices and par-boil for about 15 mins. Meanwhile grease a baking dish with garlic butter (just melt some butter in the microwave and stir in a LITTLE crushed garlic) Drain the potatoes and let them cool for about 10 mins (or run under cold tap) Slice up 1 medium white onion and layer the potato and onion inside the oven dish adding a little more garlic butter from time to time. Next mix up about a quater of a pint of single cream with 3 quaters of a pint of semi-skimmed milk and a little salt and pepper. Pour this over the potato and press down lightly. Cover the dish with foil and place in a pre-heated oven at approx. 180 deg C for about 35 mins. Then remove from the oven, dispose of the foil and top with whichever cheese you like. I use a mixture of cheddar and parmesan. Then return to the oven for about 15 mins or until the cheese is nicely melted then enjoy!! This is my own recipe so sorry if it looks a bit me
