Add butter and mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into pie shell. Bake at 325° for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream. To make whipped cream, beat 1 cup very cold heavy whipping cream with 1/4 teaspoon real vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon sugar, until it forms soft peaks. Serve immediately.
