Does anyone have a pizza dough recipe that doesn require a starter?
Starterless pizza dough–dough that does not need to rise–will have the consistency of a muffin or banana bread. It won’t hold sauce well at all. You can buy premade pizza dough, or make it out of frozen roll dough. That would be better than attempting to make it quick-bread style! After I wrote this, I found this: No Rise Pizza Dough Recipe Mix together: 2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 pkg. Rapid rise yeast Add: 1 c. warm water (125-130°F) 2 tbsp. olive oil Mix to make soft dough. Add 1 1/2 c. flour, mix well. Knead on flour covered board 4-6 minutes, adding more flour if necessary. Cover and let rest 10 minutes. Divide dough in half to make two 12 inch rounds or use all of it for one deep dish (9×13). Top and bake as recommended for your favorite recipe.
