Does anyone have a good recipe for Chili with beans?
Well, maybe it’s just famous to our family and friends but EVERYONE who tries it LOVES it! I don’t eat spicy foods, so this is a mild chili with just an awesome flavor. I found a chili recipe in a book called “Great American Brand Name Recipes Cookbook” and totally changed it, but that’s where the inspiration came from. Here’s the recipe: 2 lb. ground beef or ground turkey, browned and drained 1 medium onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, chopped 1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes (don’t drain) 1 6 oz. can tomato paste 1 14 oz. can kidney beans, drained 1 1/2 cups water 8 beef bouillon cubes 2 tbsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. cumin 2 tsp. oregano 2 tsp. sugar After meat is browned and drained, add onion and garlic. Cook and stir until tender. Add all other ingredients (you may want to only add 1/2 of the water and save the rest until the chili has been cooking a while, then you can judge if it’s too soupy or too dry and add to your preference).
