Does anyone have a good pot roast recipe?????
This is probably my favorite one, and by far the best dinner that I actually make. Some of the ingredients may sound like an odd combination, but they make a really tasty pot roast. You will like this dish if you are a fan of minestrone type soups, although it is not actually minetrone – just reminds me of the soup a little in the texture. Make sure to make plenty of extras, because leftovers are even better – and everyone at work will be super jealous once they smell what you are having. Or you can make the original version from the link at the bottom – I changed it a little so I could do it in the crockpot instead of in the oven. Either way is tasty. Give it a try – I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. CROCKPOT POT ROAST 1 (2-pound) blade cut chuck roast 2 teaspoons kosher salt 2 teaspoons cumin Vegetable oil 1 medium onion, chopped 5 to 6 cloves garlic, smashed 1-2 cans (8 oz) tomato juice or V-8 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar 1 cup cocktail olives, drained and broken 1/2 cup dark raisins
