Depending on where you live Hurricane season may be over for you by now. But the advice given for hurricane preparation is often usable in any natural disaster situation. A great deal of Hurricane preparation advice is published and each person must decide which parts of it is applicable to them. For instance, advice may include tips on treating water after the hurricane. This may be a boiling method or a bleach method. If your area had no damage to the water system, this advice may not be applicable to you. Evacuation advice is provided by specific regions and although publicized via media to everyone in the listening area, it will be needed only by certain people. It is always advisable to have sufficient stock of food and water to take care of yourself for a few days in the case of a storm strike. Counting on a response team to reach you immediately is not wise.
