Does anyone else uses handsanitizer Purell in their nose ?
Don’t stick hand sanitizer up your nose. It is intended for what the label says, your hands. When putting it up your nose, the alcohol in the solution could damage mucous membranes, a fence, if you will, keep germs from getting into broken tissues that could potentially cause an infection. Also, the solution could be killing the normal flora on your nose’s surface. The flora that I’m talking about is the good germs that your body has to defend itself from invading microorganisms. Wash your hands, avoid touching your face and shaking hands of others, and cough or sneeze into your inner arm, opposite your elbow. This should help protect you from getting the H1N1 virus. Don’t forget your flu shot. I already received my own.
