Yes, I always use a fountain pen. It’s a relatively inexpensive Parker, and it’s a pleasure to write with. I don’t let anyone else use it, as that compromises the nib, and I always write in black. I have even sketched with it, and drawn diagrams with it. On the rare occasions these days when I get to hand-write something (usually a cheque to pay a bill!), I always use my Parker.

I use a fountain pen when I write my own thoughts down. It looks more genuine on quality paper than if I was to use a ball point pen.

oh yes… at my sons school they all have to use them… it takes longer to learn to write but there hand writing is so beautiful… it makes such a difference… for example my ex husbands hand writing looks like a squashed spider and he only ever wrote with ball points….

Yes, I have a beautiful Mont Blanc pen that I was given as a present, together with a Lays Pen and a very old wide nib Parker Fountain Pen. Using a Fountain Pen makes you write better as you have to take more time in what you write.
