Does anyone else have a problem with females in authority.?
Personally I don’t think I would place a woman in a position of authority, no mater how intelligent & organized the woman is. Women are just too prone to letting their emotions/personal feelings effect their judgment. Example – at the place where I used to work the office manager was a female, the office manager took a dislike to one her underlings because basically the underling was far more attractive then she was. So despite the fact that the underling was by far the most intelligent of the office staff & despite the fact that she was by far the best at her job the office manager had her running about doing ridiculous menial jobs.
I pretty much don’t like authority at all. It work situations where somebody has to be in charge, though, for practical reasons, I don’t mind taking orders from either men or women. Provided they are reasonably competent at decision making, I don’t get too bent out of shape over their personality one way or another. It is immature and unprofessional to use your workplace as a forum for working out your issues with the way women “talk when they give orders” or whatever it is that makes you get all sweaty over having a woman convey work-related decisions and instructions to you. If somebody in a position of authority has a toxic personality, male or female, then I will undermine them and destroy any credibility they have with anybody else in the organization above or below them.
