Does anyone else find Tofurky disgusting?
Most “meat substitues” are disgusting, it it isn’t for the flavor it is for the number of preservatives, MSG, salt and other unsavory things. A simple solution is don’t look for substitutions look for alternatives. Vegetables proteins found in legumes and bean, along with seeds, nuts and even grain proteins are all your body needs. Eat well rounded meals which contain beans, quinoa, nuts… If you are looking for something with a “meaty texture” try marinated and grilled portabello caps, seiten or even spaghetti with a handful of lentils tossed in.
