Does anyone else drink bong water often???

Since the purpose of a water bong is to filter the harmful smoke substance out of the inhaled “hit”, it isn’t really advisable to drink bong water. Of course no recognized studies have been done on this (at least none in the U.S.) It probably won’t hurt you too much, and if it does it probably won’t be more serious than a stomach ache, but think about it: weed, presumably, is burned in the bowl creating smoke which contains THC, but also harmful carcinogens and plant matter. The THC-rich smoke passes through the water where many carcinogens and smoke-related toxins are absorbed into the water while some of the smoke and all of the non-water-soluble THC pass through the water on its way to your lungs. So essentially, bong water is saturated with carcinogens (cancer causing agents) and burnt plant matter and contains NO THC (the active chemical of marijuana does not bind to water, it binds to fat, hence why it is made into butter or oil for cooking)–does that sound tasty to you? :-p Pea
