Does anyone else come from a Masonic family?
My mother just got her fifty-year membership certificate from the Eastern Star last week in fact. I have been an active Mason for years although ill health has forced me to cut way back. I am a Past Master of my local lodge as was my dad. I am a six time Past Patron in the Eastern Star and my wife has been Worthy Matron three times and we have both served on Grand Chapter committees. I am a Past President of my local Shrine Club and have served on the Board of Directors for the East Tennessee Shrine Temple. I belong to the York Rite Bodies and am just finishing my term as the Master of one of the Scottish Rite Bodies in our area and I edit the Scottish Rite newsletter. I am a 33rd degree Mason and I belong to the Royal Order of Scotland and the Royal Order of Jesters along with several other bodies. My father is buried in the Masonic section of a cemetery and my mother will be there also. When I was little the Eastern Star ladies would take turns cleaning up the lodge hall and sometime
