Does anyone drink blue moon beer?
Way over-rated. I love the style, and Blue Moon is good for what it is, but Coors is best at making American Light Lagers, and it shows… Try Hoegaarden, Wittekerke, Victory Whirlwind Wit, Allagash White, Ommegang Witte, Celis White, etc. Cheers! (EDIT) Mayor – yes, Celis is still brewed. It’s owned by Michigan Brewing Company in Webberville. They bought the brand from Miller when Miller decided they wanted to run it into the ground. Bobby Mason at MiBC had Pierre out to the facility for a month or two to make sure the brewing was to his standards… This was several years ago, and Celis White has won NUMEROUS medals at GABF, WBC and other festivals since. Unfortunately for most, it’s only available in Michigan and Texas. MiBC makes great beer, but they’re not very good at the business side of things (ie: distribution). They also make a Celis Raspberry, Pale Bock, and Grand Cru that is outstanding!
