My mother and I moved to a new town and I started a private school called st patricks after starting school I started to take classes to get baptized and when December rolled around we had a night classes and on December 6th all of the students were asked to take off their shoes and put them outside of the room I did this and I was very confused but when class got out we all went outside to get our shoes and there were little gold candy coins in our shoes along with toys and gifts. The next day at my school they asked us to do the same thing and all of the students got toys and paper and pens and gifts, and ever since that my mom and I have been participating in this holday. I think out of any of the holidays this is one of my favorites. The story I was told and after looking it up you can find many different versions of it but I was told St. Nicholas’s day was based off of a very wealthy man who fell in love with a girl and this girl wanted to attend school “college” of some sorts but
