Does anyone believe that the media are promoting a state of fear through irresponsible and biased reporting?

This is completely true. The news thrives on fear and guides the public through slanted reporting. Look back at the last few weeks. we have see top stories that include Iraq, Iran, and North Korea, just to name a few. However, none of these stories will stay the main focus for a long period of time. At most, they, or an event from this country, will be a top story for no more than three days, at which point it is worn out and a new story takes the front page. This rotation continues and the media blows a new story out of porportion daily to keep up with the public’s hunger for fear.
