Does anyone believe that most christian holidays have lost some of thier meaning since holidays like halloween?
Christian holidays have not lost their meaning to Christians who still celebrate them as they were originally intended. Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ. Easter celebrates his resurrection. Hallowe’en is the Eve of All Saints Day when holy men and women are commemorated. They may well have lost their meaning to some Christians who have either never believed in them (like the Puritans) or who have deceived by modern lies about how they were really pagan. People who have no deep Christian faith still cling to some vestiges of the original meaning, particularly at Christmas, announced by the Angels as a time of joy, peace and good will to all. People who have rejected the Christian faith, atheist and pagans and others, have made up new stories about the holidays to give themselves an excuse to carry on celebrating something which has really no meaning for them at all.
