I don’t know who phillip larkin is, but some parents do jack up their kids… Most parents here in the states are so busy guarding their children from all the potential dangers that they grow up being big softies. You need to grow up and face some of the bad things in culture so you know how to deal. These parents who insist on filling their children’s day with these meaningless activities to lend structure don’t realize that these kids won’t be able to cope with real world drama. Who wants to be around a 30 year old guy who still cries when faced with adversity???
