Does anybody understand food intolerance?
I am mainly wheat and dairy intolerant with maybe a few others – currently working through an exclusion diet too, and it seems to be something that runs in my family. The best thing to do is keep a food/symptoms diary with your elimination diet – which you probably are already doing. ItÅ› horribly difficult with intolerances and a lot of folk don’t understand – it can be difficult when your friends see you as a fussy eater and don’t really get how ill certain foods can make you really ill. What Ive found is some foods can take more than a day to trigger a reaction and some foods I can cope with a little but when I have more than a little or have it a few days running it will build up in my system and set me off. When I challenge a food I eat it on three days running then cut it out again – I have a diary that I will record how I’m feeling, moods as well as any aches or pains and times that they happen.
