Does anybody think Chris Christie won stand up to the legislature?
After all he’s shown us as a US Attorney, does anybody think this guy would just roll over for the legislature? In that one moment, he displayed that if he’s our next Governor the one party controlled legislature can forget about having him as their puppet. Let alone, I think status-quo Republicans (the few that are still hanging around) have no idea what they signed on to here. The same Republicans who did not do us any favors by their overspending and borrowing during the Whitman years must have done a double-take if they really payed attention to this part of the debate. If Republicans find themselves back in control of the Legislature, they can forget about making the same mistakes they did in the past. A Christie Administration would never allow that to happen. He showed this independent streak in his prosecution of corrupt Republicans and Democrats, and I’m fully convinced he would have no problem stopping bad Republican ideas.
