Does anybody know where i could buy a blue and gold macaw?
there are so many things to sort out first before buying a pet, I do not think large birds like Blue and Gold Macaws should be in cages unless they are very large and the bird is allowed out most of the time, and you must expect to have your pet for most of your life time, I have had my bird 30 years now I am stuck with him I am retired now and would love to find him a good home but I know he would miss me after all these years together so we are stuck with each other (till death do us part) so there is a lot more than the cost of buying the bird to think about. P.S my bird has never been in a cage in it’s life and I paid £1000 for it 30 years ago, so they are cheaper now.
You need to learn about them first. If you buy from a breeder (at least here in the states) it will run around $900. More if you buy one at a pet store. Just remember that if you get a bird, then decide to get rid of it because it is too noisy, messy whatever, that bird may grieve just like a human who has lost a family member. They can start picking feathers, and actually die from grieving.
