You sound like you just finished watching the Initial D series. To start the “8” and “6” dont stand for the year they stand for the chassis as in AE86 A(A engine in the US 4″A”C for Base and SR5 and 4″A”GE for the GTS(AE88 on the VIN) E(Corolla Chassis and is shared with every Corolla and Corolla variants i.e Sprinters and Matrix) 8(8th Body Style There are variations of this body as in the FWD AE80 and AE82 Corollas) 6(6th Variation of the 8th body style) In the US we dont get Truenos(sports version of the Toyota Sprinter which is the flip up light variant of the Corolla which has regular headlights) we only get Corollas and the closest thing to a Trueno is a GTS(4AGE engine, larger front sway bar, better interior and wheels and larger rear end with disc breaks and optional LSD). As for Panda go ahead and paint one if you can find one.
