Does anybody know of any vet clinics in Melbourne that offer discounts to private rescue groups?
You can talk to your local vet clinics about this, definately. You should also talk to your local councils- as some councils will actually offer discount desexing vouchers to promote responsible pet ownership. I know that for one month a year, the vet at the AAPS shelter in Keysborough does discount desexing of cats- its not much- but its something! If you talk to other shelters with vet clinics (most of them will have a vet clinic, RSPCA, AAPS, VAAT definately do, and Lort Smith would have one as well, at the least) they may also be able to offer you a cheaper rate.
