If you’re in the United Kingdom- semi-auto .22 rifles are legal if you have a “Firearms Certificate” in your country- not to be confused with the more common and easier to get “shotgun certificate.” Semi-automatic centerfire rifles (AR-15, Mini-14, AK) have been illegal for private ownership in Great Britain since 1988, unless (I think!) you alter the action so you have to manually “rack it” for each shot. As I’m an American who’s never been to your country, I can’t help you a whole lot other than to tell you what I know from researching gun laws worldwide as a matter of personal interest.
