I have dismantled many a lamp post in my day actually. First you must disassemble the lamp base using a 5/6ths hex wrench to loosen the bolt around the base cuff. Then you have to find a ladder and dismantle the bulb casing using a 4/8th socket wrench. Unscrew the bulb carefully, making sure that the power is off. You must then find a large mammal of some sort to attach a leash to. This will come in handy later. As you climb down from your ladder you can attach the large mammal to the pole and have it yank the pole over. the pole should now be on the ground and fully dismantled.
